Sony and Sneddon Connection

Sony and Sneddon Connection

August 12, 2010 – Sony and Sneddon Connection

We left off yesterday with the paragraph in history between April of 2002 and Martin Bashir’s libelous documentary on Michael Jackson, and the discovery of self-dealing by those who were supposed to represent Michael as part of the trial investigations.

“In April of 2002, Martin Bashir had been inserted into Michael’s life. He filmed and edited an unapproved documentary that was aired in February of 2003, the same month Michael Jackson fired John Branca for conflict of interest and self-dealing. In March of 2003, Tom Sneddon launched an investigation, the second in 10 years, against Michael Jackson. In November of 2003 Michael was arrested. In January 2005 his trial began. During the trial, Interfer, hired by lawyer LeGrande, uncovered improprieties between Branca and Sony’s Tommy Mottola.” Original post

None of this could have been possible had it not been for the cooperation of certain California authorities.

Enter Tom Sneddon.

Was MJ a Shopaholic?

Did Michael have a spending problem?

As Fate Would Have It....

While Michael was acquiring the ATV/Beatles Catalog, Sony was acquiring CBS, Michael's Record Label.

MJ handled is ATV/Beatles Catalog Acquisition Like a Gentleman....

Michael did check to see if Paul or Yoko wanted to buy the ATV/Beatles Catalogue before he made his move.

MJ was always the force behind acquiring the ATV/Beatles Catalogue

According to Lynton Guest, it was always Michael's idea to purchase the ATV/Beatles Catalogue, no one else's.

This is a link to a picture of Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka the cofounders of Sony Corporation.  They would also be the powers that be at Sony that would start the process leading to the destruction of Mr. Michael Joseph Jackson.

They are two of the members of what I call Michael's Sony Trilogy of Terror, the Sony heads that would orchestrate his demise.

This is a link to a picture of Norio Ohga, the third member of the Sony Trilogy of Terror.  He was president and CEO of  Sony in 1989.  Pay particular attention to the caption underneath this picture.  It speaks to what needed to be done to obtain the Sony ATV Catalog from MJ.

Keeping the Facts Strait on Michael’s Finances, Branca and Sony

July 6, 2010 – Keeping the Facts Strait on Michael’s Finances, Branca and Sony

In studying Michael, I have learned probably more than I would otherwise have had an opportunity in my lifetime. In the beginning of this I had asked God so many times why I had been burdened with the sudden and intense draw to his story. Even the answer to that prayer has evolved over the time between last June and now.

My draw to Michael was the the minister on my facebook page that attacked him, which prompted me to defend him. This lead to searching for resources to verify my defense of him which lead to the first interview on Youtube in which I heard Michael talk about God. My first “wow” moment with Michael. The second “wow” was learning the similarities in childhood pain, and the third was the similarities in my own son and my need to protect him.

After that I dug deeper and deeper until I learned about his childhood, his stage career, recording career, his philanthropic work, his intense empathy for children and a desire to return people to a more innocent time and frame of mind. He tried to accomplish this in his music, through the décor of his home and property until it was all sidetracked and destroyed systematically by an entity that Michael originally supported. Sony Music's Greed.

After learning what I could about Michael (still learning), I also learned to see what he saw through his eyes, about the workings of the music industry, public life, fans. I could feel the frustration of not knowing who you could trust. What it felt like when one of you employees whispers in your ear about the evils of another employee, the fight amongst them for control and every one of them stealing from you in one degree or another.

On top of fighting your music label for the royalties due you, manipulation of your contract, proper funding for your videos that they require and lack of control over public appearances to promote an album, you suddenly find out that previous lawyers and business associates conspired to drive you into involuntary bankruptcy and it all centers around your half of a company that has ballooned in value since you bought it 15 years before.

Let’s not forget the press, which is another battle all by itself, and which despite the fact you have behaved yourself and acted more normal than MOST people in your industry, they have put out stories about you that have steered public opinion into believing you were a freak. You were a danger to the very children you loved, saved, held and cried over, a drug addict, a fallen pop star, an ego-maniac, financially insolvent, immature, gay, pedophile, wacko, ashamed of your ethnicity, took female hormones, (am I missing anything?) asexual, a spendthrift, out of touch with reality, etc, etc, etc.

Even today, the yarns continue to spin. People are busy trying to re-write Michael Jackson history. I was told yesterday (or shown) that John Branca was hired back by Michael in 2006. If that is the case, why is there no evidence or mention of him being hired back? Why didn’t Raymone Bain ever mention him since SHE is the one that was supposed to be managing Michael’s business during that time period?

This is Michael’s timeline during 2006: Michael hires a new accounting firm, it mentions Raymone Bain, and it mentions Tom Mesereau no longer Michael’s attorney (from 2005 trial) but remain friends, Michael hires Guy Homes as his new manager on April 18th of 2006. Then in June of 2006, Michael did a house cleaning and severed ties with his long-time accounts and business managers, Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman & Sloan, with Bahrani attorneys Qays Zu’bi and Grahame Nelson, and Gut Records executive, Guy Holmes.

In August of 2006, Michael discovers evidence of former lawyers and business managers conspiring to defraud him and force him into involuntary bankruptcy. Whatever happened to this case? The people were never named, but funny that Branca claims to have been hired back by Michael during this year, only to “leave” of his own accord because of the people Michael surrounded himself with. Where oh where did John Branca appear, at ALL by Michael’s side during this time? He DIDN’T. And the people being defrauded now by this nonsense are Michael’s fans.

Also the refinancing of loans previously held by Bank of America made in statement on April 13 of that year:

"Following negotiations with several leading financial institutions, Mr. Jackson has concluded refinancing with affiliates of Fortress Investment Group, the lender that currently holds secured debts that were previously held by Bank of America," Qays H. Zubi Attorneys & Legal Consultants was part of an advisory team that included Bahrain-based financial adviser Ahmed Al Khan, it said.

At that time, Fortress held the note on “Neverland” and Michael’s other debts.

“The deal ultimately would require Jackson to sell half of his 50 percent share in the catalogue to Sony, the Wall Street Journal and New York Times reported Thursday, citing anonymous sources familiar with the negotiations.” This is where most people are taking for granted that Sony ever got that controlling interest.

The Wallstreet article in question states that as part of this deal with Fortress, that Michael “had to give Sony the OPTION of buying” half of Michael’s 50% share. This was to prevent Fortress from owning a quarter of the catalog if Michael were to default. Sony didn’t want another party involved in the catalog should Michael default. They wanted control. Reference here

It was also passed through the grapevine of blogs that Sony obtained that five percent when Michael “went to Sony for help” in saving Neverland Ranch and to keep from defaulting on his loans. Did this ever happen?

According to this article, the loan was sold by Fortress to Colony Capital in May of 2008, averting foreclosure. Sony still has the first option of purchasing half of Michael’s catalog share, but it never happened because no default ever happened. Colony swooped in and bought the loans. Reference: Fortress Sold to Colony -

The AllGood mess, which DiLeo was involved in really had nothing to do with Michael other than the fact that Michael was mentioned. Michael never signed a contract with them and to my knowledge, neither did any of his brothers or sisters for a family tour. Allgood did file a lawsuit for breech of contract, but he named DiLeo and AEG, not Michael himself in the lawsuit. The copy of the contract that I have shows on DiLeo’s signature and it’s a contract of “intent” on DiLeo’s part. If that “notice of intent” is enforceable, consideration would have had to have been paid. If DiLeo was paid anything in advance, then DiLeo is liable. AEG would not be, since AEG had nothing to do with that deal. The $300 million suit was thrown out, but they are going to hear the case for breach of contract with DiLeo.

What happened with Michael between 2006 and 2009 is enough to make your head spin. The popular story is that Michael was constantly having to fire people to keep those trying to force him into bankruptcy away from him.

What it is starting to look like to me is a shell game, from both sides . . . Michael trying to outpace those trying to drag him down. The three different managers jockeying for position right around the time of his death? Tohme, then Lowe, then DiLeo and they all overlap. Then as DiLeo enters, Michael “fires” Tohme, then he fires “Lowe”. Which shell is the peanut under now? This is a FUN game . . . but the house always wins. All we have to do is find out who the house is.

There is a copy of a court transcript supposedly from May 13, 2005 of Michael’s trial. The version that I have seen and copied was actually linked to another blog, here and it is not even a verifiable court transcript. There is no seal, it might as well be a word document copied and pasted.

Now Weitzman, the “other” co-executor of Michael’s estate (McClain is MIA most of the time) is now embroiled in the controversy surrounding the rape of Kurt Cobain’s estate. Reference

Millions have been bilked in cash and real estate deals (flipping) using bank accounts set up with the social security numbers of Courtney Love and Francis Bean, Kurt’s daughter.

This is the same gentleman I showed you in a previous blog that Judge idiot hired to represent Michael’s CHILDREN on Michael’s estate, AFTER that attorney represented BRANCA against Katherine when she initially challenged the temporary executors! (This was judge Beckloff and I talked about that deal in this blog update)

People are out there, spreading these lies, and you can bet there are trolls out there scanning blog and social network conversations and putting up their own “damage control”.

Judge Beckoff is a paid hack. He doesn’t work for the state of California, he works for whatever corporation pays him to call off the dogs. Most of your judges in California do because thanks to Sneddon and the State Attorney General of that time, that law was changed to make it okay! This is what Richard Fine was fighting and currently sitting in jail for!

I can’t even tell you how angry this is making me! The misinformation that is being put out there. This is searchable information! Branca was most certainly in suspicion when Interfor was hired to investigate the connection with Sony and Branca. Improprieties were found and Sony/Mottola DID wire money to Branca. Whether that money came from Michael’s accounts remains to be seen. But a conflict of interest did exist and Branca WAS NOT HIRED BACK in 2006.

Did Michael hire Branca back in 2009 eight days before he died? I seriously doubt it. Michael was so busy being drug out of bed to rehearsals during the last couple weeks before he died (according to emotional accounts from various people), he didn’t seem much interested in meeting with any past employees, let alone one of the ones he suspected put him in that condition!

Seems there is another version of the same court transcript here:

Well! Explain that one, Mr. Branca!

July 7, 2010 - Chances for Justice and Immaculate Deceptions

Keep in mind one thing when reading this article (http://www.portfolio.com/companies-executives/2009/08/07/who-is-philip-anschutz-and-why-is-he-in-business-with-michael-jackson-and-the-weekly-standard/) Michael was a Christian and had money too. Look what the press did to him!

The article is written as such an angle that Michael and Anschutz were at opposite ends of the social and ideological spectrum, when it fact, they really weren't.

Anschutz is described as humble and understated, preferring Timex watches to Rolex and his desire to keep a low profile.

Michael Jackson was humble, wore next to no jewelery, wore the same loafers all the time (the butt of his brother Randy's jokes) and his desire (although rarely accomplished because of his fame) to keep a low profile when he went shopping.

Anschutz does not give interviews and shuns the press.

Michael shunned ( or tried to shun) the press, rarely granting interviews in his 40+ year career. Both men knew what the press was capable of.

Anschutz "...knows you don't do good works for an earthly reward."

Michael also believed in doing good works without recognition and gave credit to God for everything he was given to give others.

Anschutz is stealthily active in Christian and conservative causes, funding the Institute for American Values, The Center for Marriage and Families and Morality in Media.

Michael, who admittedly shunned politics (really, he had enough problems) was passionate about the breakup of families, the death of innocence and the family unit and, along with Prince Al-Waleed back in 1995, had planned through "Kingdom Entertainment" to put families back at the center of entertainment, films, theme parks and resorts, multi-media and gaming etc . . . the plan that never developed.

Anschutz is a visionary and always five steps ahead of his corporate competitors (sometimes with a sense of humor, tongue in cheek - story on that below) and is described as being able to "see around corners".

Michael has been touted as a visionary, both musically and visually, to the point where he can hum the notes of every instrument in a song he's written to the various members of the band and tech crew to record. This is an amazing talent considering Michael never learned to read music. Michael gave new meaning to the phrase "playing by ear".

Both Michael and Anschutz can see in whole pictures, while being able to break it down into harmonizing parts for those contributing to their teams . . . Michael musically and visually, and Anschutz in business.

Are they really that different from each other? I don't see it. I can see Anschutz being completely taken by Michael's personality and impressed with Michael's vision, which nobody argues is less than genius.

Read more:

One thing missing in the rush to condemn Colony and Anschutz is that there is no motive to go after Michael Jackson's holdings. Both companies and founders far out-fund Michael. There is no evidence that Colony has done anything but help Michael avert a foreclosure and stall Sony's takeover of the Sony/ATV. Michael's ranch still sits, unsold or otherwise violated by Barrack and Company other than maintenance and improvements.

Anschutz, aside from funding a project of Michael's and sharing the same ideologies, owned the company that would promote the "This is It" concerts. Anschutz has not defrauded Michael. From what I see, both Colony and Anschutz are buying up little pieces here and there of companies that are connected to people who have defrauded Michael. One of the reasons I believe Colony inquired about the Sony/ATV catalog.

What of AEG Live? Owned by AEG And Anschutz Corp., was in the process of putting together a concert. This is another curious mess that I will address in a future blog. (mental note to address AEGLive and "This is It"). Sony had a lot more to lose than Colony or Anschutz. Sony and those connected to the Sony Music group of companies were possibly looking at felonies and jail time as well as loss of the rights to songs in two music catalogs and controlling interest in the Sony/ATV.

And therein lies a possible motive of Sony for not only Michael's death but Peter Lopez's death and possibly Ayers as well. Peter, who was working on business reorganization for Michael was "found dead". Sounds like someone believed Lopez knew something!

And Ayers? He worked for Dr. Klein, a 30 year dermatologist of Michael's. Dr. Klein has been one of the few people to last that long with Michael. Dr. Klein was prominently in the news after Michael's death. After the death of Ayers, Dr. Klein got weird on us. Was Ayers a warning to Klein?

Of what information we are given . . . be very suspicious. Of what information you find, be very discerning. Information, like money, can be used in one of two ways.

It can be used in a positive way, or a negative way.

Lennon/McCartney - Northern Songs - MJ - Sony - Sony/ATV

The songwriting partnership of John Lennon and Paul McCartney is one of the best-known and most successful musical and cultural collaborations in history. Between 1962 and 1969, they wrote and published approximately 180 jointly credited songs, of which the vast majority were recorded by The Beatles and form the bulk of their catalogue. Unlike many songwriting partnerships which comprise separate lyricist and composer, both Lennon and McCartney wrote words and music; often however, their songs were principally the work of one of the two credited authors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lennon/McCartney

----------

Brian Samuel Epstein (pronounced /ˈɛpstaɪn/) (19 September 1934 – 27 August 1967) was a British music entrepreneur, and the manager of The Beatles.

Epstein died of an accidental drug overdose at his home in London in August 1967. The Beatles' early success has been attributed to Epstein's management and sense of style. Paul McCartney said of Epstein: "If anyone was the Fifth Beatle, it was Brian."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Epstein

The Beatles entered into a publishing agreement with Dick James Music (DJM) who set up a company called Northern Songs. Epstein agreed that James should receive 25% of the shares, and Charles Silver, his financial partner and accountant, should also receive 25%. Lennon and McCartney received 20% each, and Epstein held the remaining 10%

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Epstein#Publishing

-----

Northern Songs Ltd. is a company founded in 1963 by music publisher Dick James, Brian Epstein, and The Beatles to publish songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (see Lennon/McCartney).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Songs

Along with Lennon's and McCartney's songs (published in the United States by Maclen Music, named for McCartney and Lennon), Northern Songs published George Harrison's early compositions, and Ringo Starr was also signed as a songwriter. Both Northern Songs and Maclen Music were administered by Dick James Music. When the initial contracts expired, Lennon and McCartney renewed, while Harrison instead started his own company, Harrisongs Ltd., and Starr his own, called Startling Music.

In a novel move, during 1965 it was decided to "take the company public" to save on capital gains tax, and Northern Songs was reorganised as a public company, with Lennon and McCartney each owning 15%, Beatles manager Epstein's company, NEMS, assigned a 7.5% interest, James and partner Emmanuel Charles Silver (who served as Northern Songs' chairman) retaining a total of 37.5% of the ownership, and Harrison and Starr together owning about 1.6%. The rest traded on the London Stock Exchange.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Songs#Foundation_and_early_history

After Epstein died, Lennon and McCartney sought to renegotiate their publishing deal with James. In 1968 they invited James for a meeting at Apple Records. They tried to film the meeting with James, and were rather brusque with him. Already-cool relations between James and the Beatles became even cooler. Early in 1969, James and Silver abruptly sold their shares in Northern Songs to Britain's Associated TeleVision (ATV), giving the Beatles no notice, or the chance to buy them out. (Lennon learned of the sale from a morning newspaper during his honeymoon with Yoko Ono, and immediately called McCartney).[4] Lennon and McCartney, upset that the songs they had written were not theirs legally, attempted to gain ownership of the publishing rights.[4] Their bid to gain control, part of a long and acrimonious fight, failed. The financial clout of Lew Grade, their adversary in the bidding war, ensured that the music written by the two Beatles passed into the control of ATV.

Under their publishing contract with Northern Songs, Lennon and McCartney were legally bound to continue their songwriting until 1973. The simplest way out, if they couldn't gain control, was to also sell out to ATV, while keeping the writer's royalties from their contracted songs. Lennon and McCartney sold their stock (Lennon his 15%, McCartney's portion slightly higher, since he himself bought additional shares) in October 1969 for £3.5 million. Harrison and Starr chose to keep their shares.

ATV held its controlling interest in Northern Songs until 1985, when ATV Music went up for sale. Outbidding McCartney (who'd tried unsuccessfully to persuade Yoko Ono to join him) was singer Michael Jackson, who won the bidding for a reported $47 million. The recent friendship and collaboration with McCartney and Jackson ended suddenly as a result. It turned out Ono had actually encouraged Jackson to buy the shares, telling the press after the sale, "I just feel like a friend has them." When asked how he felt about having Jackson as his "boss", as controller of the song catalogue, McCartney replied, "I think he needs to give me a raise." McCartney reportedly did ask Jackson for a royalty increase but was turned down, further cooling their relationship.

In 1995, Jackson merged his catalogue with Sony Music's publishing, for a reported $95 million, establishing Sony/ATV Music Publishing, in which he retained half-ownership.[5] In April 2006 a package was proposed whereby, Jackson would borrow $300 million and reduce the interest rate payable on a loan he had, while giving Sony the future option to buy half of Jackson's stake in their jointly-owned publishing company (leaving Jackson with a 25% stake).[5] Jackson agreed to a Sony-backed refinancing deal, although the finalised details were not made public.

Dick James (12 December 1920 – 1 February 1986), born Reginald Leon Isaac Vapnick,[1] was a music publisher and the founder of the DJM record label and recording studios, as well as (with Brian Epstein) The Beatles' publisher Northern Songs.

James entered the music publishing business as his singing career tapered off, and in February 1963 established Northern Songs Ltd., with Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney, to publish Lennon and McCartney's original songs.[4] (Fellow Beatles George Harrison and Ringo Starr were also signed to Northern Songs as songwriters, but did not renew their contracts in 1968). James's company, Dick James Music, administered Northern Songs.[5]

What initially began as an amicable working relationship between the Beatles and James disintegrated by the late 1960s; the Beatles considered that James had betrayed and taken advantage of them when he sold Northern Songs in 1969 without offering the band an opportunity to buy control of the publishing company. James profited handsomely from the sale of Northern Songs, but the Beatles never again had the rights to their own songs.[6]

James died in London of a heart attack in early 1986, at the age of 65.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing is a music publishing company co-owned by The Michael Jackson Family Trust and Sony. The organisation was originally founded as Associated TeleVision (ATV) in 1955 by Lew Grade.

ATV Music Publishing and Grade acquired the rights to the Lennon/McCartney song catalogue, Northern Songs, in 1968. The catalogue featured nearly every song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney until The Beatles' split in 1970.

Grade's fortune began to dwindle as the 1980s approached and by the mid-1980s, ATV Music Publishing and Pye Records were both up for sale. The companies were bought by Australian businessman Robert Holmes à Court, who disposed of them quickly and to his great profit. They were sold to Jackson for $47.5 million in 1985. This upset McCartney—who had told Jackson about the importance of owning publishing, and his own plans to purchase The Beatles catalog—who felt Jackson on purpose outbid McCartney.

In 1995, ATV Music Publishing was merged with Sony and renamed Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The company became the third largest music publisher in the world, owning the rights to songs by Elvis Presley, Eminem, Akon, Bob Dylan, and Willie Nelson. The value of Sony/ATV Music Publishing has varied in reports. Industry experts have estimated the company to be worth as much as $1.5 billion.

ATV Music and Lew Grade, who had been knighted by this time, acquired the rights to the Lennon/McCartney song catalogue, Northern Songs, in 1968. The catalogue featured every song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney until The Beatles' legal split in 1971. Northern Songs had been co-owned and administered by Brian Epstein and Dick James. Upon Epstein's death in 1967, James, who was approaching retirement, put the company up for sale. Lennon and McCartney, upset that the songs they had written were not theirs legally, attempted to gain ownership of the publishing rights. Their bid to gain control, part of a long and acrimonious fight, failed. The financial clout of Grade, their adversary in the bidding war, ensured that the music written by the two Beatles passed into the control of ATV.

By the mid-1980s, ATV Music Publishing and Pye Records were both up for sale. The companies were bought relatively cheaply by Australian businessman Robert Holmes à Court, who asset-stripped them and sacked many long serving employees, before selling them on again.  During this time, American singer Michael Jackson was recording "Say Say Say" for Paul McCartney's Pipes of Peace album. Jackson stayed at the home of McCartney and his wife Linda during the recording sessions, becoming friendly with both. One evening whilst at the dining table, McCartney brought out a booklet displaying all the songs to which he owned the publishing rights.  He explained that music publishing was a way to make big money.  Jackson replied by telling McCartney that he would buy The Beatles' songs one day. "Great. Good joke", McCartney laughed.
Shortly afterward, John Branca, Jackson's attorney, advised the singer that the Northern Songs catalogue was up for sale. Warned of the competition he would face in buying such popular songs, Jackson remained resolute in his decision to purchase them.  Branca approached McCartney's attorney to query whether the Beatle was planning to bid. The attorney stated he wasn't; it was "too pricey".  McCartney had previously attempted to purchase Northern Songs alongside John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono in 1981 for $20 million; the pair would each pay $10 million. Ono refused as she thought it was too high a price. Not wanting to spend the $20 million himself, McCartney let the sale fall through.   After months of negotiating, Branca closed the deal and purchased Northern Songs on Jackson's behalf for $47.5 million.

In an analysis of the acquisition, Los Angeles Times noted that if "Yesterday" were to earn $100,000 a year in royalties, the Lennon estate and McCartney would divide 50% of the income; $25,000 each. The publisher, Jackson, would receive the other 50%; $50,000. It was added that "Yesterday" in particular would earn considerably more than $100,000 a year. The publisher would also control the use of the song in films, commercials and stage productions.  Jackson went on to use the Beatles' songs in numerous commercials, feeling that it would enable a new generation of fans to enjoy the music. McCartney, who himself had used the Buddy Holly song catalogue in commercials, felt saddened.  Privately, Jackson was reported to have expressed exasperation at McCartney's attitude; he felt that the musician should have paid for the songs he had written.  At the time, McCartney was one of the richest entertainers in the world, with a net worth of $560 million and a royalty income of $41 million.  Jackson stated, "If he didn't want to invest $47.5 million in his own songs, then he shouldn't come crying to me now".

Ono was pleased that Jackson had acquired Northern Songs and called it a "blessing".  Speaking in November, 1990, Ono stated, "Businessmen who aren't artists themselves wouldn't have the consideration Michael has. He loves the songs. He's very caring."  She added that if she and McCartney were to own the songs, there would certainly be arguments. Ono explained that neither she or McCartney needed that. "If Paul got the songs, people would have said, 'Paul finally got John'. And if I got them, they'd say, 'Oh, the dragon lady strikes again'".

As a side note the following is a BET youtube clip of their special on MJ called "Michael Jackson, Our Icon".  In that clip an Ebony insider discusses how MJ also received advice on acquiring music publishing rights from Mr. John H. Johnson, CEO of Ebony Magazine.  That converstion can be found at the 4:43 to the 5:50 frames.

After Jackson's acquisition of ATV Music Publishing, his record label, CBS, were negotiating the sale of their record division in an unrelated deal. Following hurriedly arranged meetings and disagreements over the selling price, a deal was sealed by Jackson during a concert in Tokyo.  Upon seeing the success of this sale, Japanese corporation Sony sought to break away from its core business of hardware manufacturing and diversify into music, films and games. Looking for further opportunities, the company aimed to expand its music publishing interests. The Japanese corporation offered Jackson $90 million for 50% of ATV Music Publishing in 1995.   Jackson gladly accepted; he had essentially acquired half ownership of the Beatles' songs for a large profit.  Jackson's own songs were not included in the deal.   Having been merged, the company was renamed Sony/ATV Music Publishing and became the third largest music publisher in the world

In May 2001, Jackson denied rumours that he was planning to sell the Beatles' song catalogue. Rumours had circulated that the singer was to sell them in order to finance the upkeep of Neverland Ranch and to cover legal bill expenses.[13] The singer announced in a statement, "I want to clarify a silly rumour - the Beatles catalogue is not for sale, has not been for sale and will never be for sale

Following Jackson's death in June 2009, it was revealed that Sony/ATV Music Publishing would keep control of the Beatles' songs.  Upon his death, Jackson's entertainment attorney, Joel Katz, commented on the singer's work as a businessman. "Michael Jackson was a perfectionist and his business affairs are worldwide. Many of them are quite ongoing and will be dealt with appropriately."   Ivan Thornton, a private-wealth adviser who worked with Jackson and his family, also commended the business side of the musician. "His business mind was fascinating. We’d go to meetings with bankers and Wall Street people and once I explained the language to him, he totally got it. There was no formal education there, but his natural knack was off the charts."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony/ATV_Music_Publishing#Recent_history

In 2005, Jackson's defense attorney, Thomas Mesereau, revealed that the song catalogue had been valued at between $4 billion and $5 billion.  The company's song catalogue is believed to generate up to $80 million a year; The Beatles' hits alone bring in $30 million to $45 million a year.  Jackson's other publishing firm, Mijac, which publishes songs written by Jackson himself and which is administered by competitor Warner/Chappell Music, is valued to be worth at least $75 million.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony/ATV_Music_Publishing#Value

In 1985, ATV Music, a music publishing company owning thousands of music copyrights, including the Northern Songs catalogue that contained the majority of the Lennon/McCartney compositions recorded by The Beatles, was put up for sale.  Jackson had become interested in owning music catalogs after working with Paul McCartney in the early 1980s: Jackson had learned McCartney made approximately $40 million a year from other people's songs. McCartney's attorney assured Jackson's attorney that McCartney was not interested in bidding on ATV: McCartney reportedly said "It's too pricey". However, McCartney later changed his mind and tried to persuade John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono to join him in a joint bid. Ono declined, and McCartney pulled out. Jackson eventually beat the rest of the competition in negotiations that lasted 10 months, purchasing the catalog for $47.5 million.

At the turn of the century, the American Music Awards honored Jackson as Artist of the '80s.  Throughout 2000 and 2001, Jackson worked in the studio with Teddy Riley and Rodney Jerkins, as well as other collaborators. These sessions would result in the album Invincible, released in October 2001. Invincible was Jackson's first full-length album in six years, and it would be the last album of new material he released while still alive. The release of the album was preceded by a dispute between Jackson and his record label, Sony Music Entertainment. Jackson had expected the licenses to the masters of his albums to revert to him sometime in the early 2000s. Once he had the licenses, he would be able to promote the material however he pleased and he would also be able to keep all the profits. However, due to various clauses in the contract, the revert date turned out to be many years away. Jackson discovered that the attorney who represented him in the deal was also representing Sony.  Jackson was also concerned about another conflict of interest. For a number of years, Sony had been pushing to buy all of Jackson's share in their music catalog venture. Jackson feared that Sony might have something to gain from Jackson's career failing, since if his career did fail he would have to sell his share of the catalog.  Jackson sought an early exit from his contract.   Just before the release of Invincible, Jackson informed the head of Sony Music Entertainment, Tommy Mottola, that he was leaving Sony.   As a result, all singles releases, video shootings and promotions concerning the Invincible album were suspended.

Jackson alleged in July 2002 that Mottola was a "devil" and a "racist" who did not support his African-American artists, using them merely for his own personal gain.  He charged that Mottola had called his colleague Irv Gotti a "fat nigger".  Sony refused to renew Jackson's contract, and claimed that a $25 million promotional campaign had failed because Jackson refused to tour in the United States.

His total lifetime earnings from royalties on his solo recordings and music videos, revenue from concerts and endorsements have been estimated at $500 million; some analysts have speculated that his music catalog holdings could be worth billions of dollars.  This speculation however is contradicted by financial documents obtained by the Associated Press, which showed that as of March 31, 2007, Jackson's 50 percent stake in the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog (his most prized asset) was worth $390.6 million and Michael Jackson's net worth was $236 million.   Billboard has estimated that Jackson has generated at least $1 billion in revenue in the year following his death.

The Malnik Family's Michael Jackson Photo Dump

By Bob Norman, Mon., Jun. 29 2009 @ 9:39AM
http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2009/06/the_malnik_familys_michael_jac.php

Al Malnik is doing some serious spinning in the world press right now in regard to Michael Jackson.

He's been quoted in several publications about regarding his "friendship" with Jackson, saying that he's godfather to the pop king's youngest son, Blanket, and that, last Malnik knew, he was executor of his estate. Yesterday, Malnik's wife, Nancy, executed a photo dump on her Facebook page as a tribute to the late star. The photos show Malnik and his family with Jackson in 2003.

Here's how the Daily Mail characterized Malnik's relationship with Jackson in its story regarding the new photographs:

In pictures taken from the same party, Jackson and his children are allegedly pictured with the children of close friends Al and Nancy Malnik. The 76-year-old American millionaire has triplets Jarod, Spencer and Nathan, who are now 11. Mr Malnik had been friends with the singer for more than ten years and the singer stayed with him at the height of the child abuse scandals. Jackson is godfather to Spencer, who is understood to be featured in the pictures sitting on the steps of Mr Malnik's Miami mansion with Paris.

This is laughable. The two men were indeed friends at one time, but there's a reason the photographs date all the way back to 2003. The two men had a falling out after Jackson began to believe that Malnik, who has known Mafia ties and was once a close associate of Meyer Lansky, was trying to wrangle Jackson's rights to half the Beatles catalog of songs from him, rights that are worth an estimated half billion dollars.

The source of this information is Gordon Novel, a character of intrigue himself from the Kennedy assassination, Watergate, and Waco. Novel worked in the Lyndon Johnson administration and spent years working as an investigator for former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark. Vanity Fair's Maureen Orth first reported that Novel had met with Jackson in 2005 in an attempt to get the investigator to find proof that Malnik was part of a conspiracy involving Sony's Tommy Mottola and film director Brett Ratner, a Malnik protoge, to take over his assets.

"According to Novel, Jackson said he was lured to Malnik's house in Miami Beach by film director Brett Ratner to see a house so beautiful it would make him catatonic," Orth wrote. "He said that once he was there, however, Malnik, who Jackson claimed had Mafia ties, wanted to put his fingers in the singer's business. Jackson also said he received a call from Tommy Mottola while he was there, which aroused his suspicion..."

I contacted Novel over the weekend, and he confirmed meeting with Jackson at Neverland Valley during the time of the 2005 trial. He told me that he was originally contacted by Jackson's brother Jermaine and that Michael and the family wanted Novel to gather proof of the Malnik/Mottola conspiracy and further find evidence that Mottola was behind the criminal child molestation charges. The ultimate goal was to blow the trial out of the water so Jackson wouldn't have to face prison time.

Novel said he flew in March 2005, about a month into Jackson's trial, from his home in New Orleans to the Los Angeles home owned by Jackson's parents, where he stayed several days before Jackson finally had him over to Neverland Valley. He said the two of them met in a bungalow on the property before Jackson drove him around the ranch in an old pickup truck.

"The whole thing centered on Tommy Mottola setting him up," Novel told me. "Mottola and him were at odds, and Jackson's information was that Mottola and Malnik got together to fuck him. He said he believed Malnik was representing the Mob."

He said Jackson had special loathing for Malnik because he felt betrayed by him. When I told him that Malnik was saying that Jackson had made him executor of his estate, he was dubious.

"He had split up with Malnik," said Novel. "He never said anything about Malnik being executor of his will. And based on how pissed off Jackson was at him at the time, I wouldn't believe it on a bet."

When asked what Jackson was like at the meeting, Novel didn't hesitate: "He was afraid, very very afraid. He didn't want to go to jail and didn't think he would be treated very well there."

Was he fearful that he would be killed in prison?

"Yeah, you can say that," Novel said.

But he also said that Jackson's mental state was "excellent" and that the pop star was lucid and extremely intelligent. He didn't believe Jackson was on any drugs during the meeting.

I asked Novel if he believed Jackson's theory about the conspiracy against him. He said that he thought Jackson was not guilty of the criminal charges and that he was probably set up, but he had no idea if Mottola was involved.

"He thought that Mottola was Mob-connected and that Malnik was representing the Mob, but I can't vouch for any of that shit," Novel said. "I don't have anything against Tommy Mottola and don't know if what he thought was true or not. I don't want to get on Mottola's bad side. My sources in New York say he's a dangerous guy."

Novel never conducted an investigation and said that, in the end, Jackson "deadbeated" him. He said that when he got to the airport to fly home, there was no ticket as promised by Jackson. He said that he contacted Jermaine and that the family paid for his flight. He said Jackson still owes him $25,000 for his consultation at Neverland. (Orth reported in Vanity Fair that Jackson apparently took a lot of Novel's advice, but at that time, Novel claimed Jackson owed him just $5,000.)

"He was a tremendously talented deadbeat," Novel said. "Michael Jackson would deadbeat King Kong."

It's clear that whether Malnik had any ulterior motives in befriending Jackson, the pop star ended up believing he was an enemy out to get his Beatles songs. We'll have to wait and see if the world media continues to eat out of Malnik's hand or if it actually reports the truth about the relationship and its bitter end.

Michael was not an addict, and it wasn’t an accidental overdose.

Jun 18 2010 - Seven @ 5:15 am

http://www.mj-777.com/?p=4172

“Buprenex does the same as demerol, the only difference is you cannot become an addict on Buprenex. Buprenex Synthetic Demerol. 2 vials I would feel safe. Have it in case of accident.”

Michael evidently wrote this note to himself. As you can see, he was very concerned about not becoming addicted to painkillers and requested a non-addictive alternative for his needs.

This is not something an addict who was seeking substances just to get high would care about. Michael did suffer some physical pain. Because of the extreme physical exertion, stamina and athletic ability required in his dance performances, he was at risk for injury and sometimes did become injured, such as when the ‘bridge‘ in an Earth Song performance collapsed. Michael continued performing after that bridge fell, but apparently collapsed after the show was over. He was injured and in a great deal of pain. Michael had subsequent back pain and back problems after that. He also had a bit of arthritis in his fingers, back, and knees in his later years.

This means he was an addict? Is everyone who has been injured or has arthritis an addict? I don’t think so.

In my own opinion, and I have addicts in my own family, this is not a note an addict would write, or a concern an addict would have. Addicts only want to get their fix, their high. That’s all. They don’t care if the substance they get it from is addictive. They’re way beyond that. Michael wasn’t. Because Michael wasn’t an addict or misusing ‘painkillers‘ or any other drugs at or surrounding the time he died, IMO, given the facts.

At one time years ago, he did become addicted to painkillers. However, he received treatment and since that time, from what I can tell, he was very careful what he used and put in his body.

Aphrodite Jones mentioned this in a recent interview with a fan group on UStream. Ms. Jones stated that she knew that Michael was very particular what he put in his body as far as food and drugs were concerned. She didn’t give specifics, but the note above corroborates that. That interview with Ms. Jones can be heard here.

A recent comment from his own Mother, whom he was quite close to:

A year on from his death, Michael’s mother does not accept he died of natural causes. ‘He was too young for that, but something happened. I heard from people he was taking prescription drugs but I’ve never seen my son in any way…even talking to him on the phone, he was always himself. I never asked him about that as he was always normal. I don’t think he just died of natural causes. I don’t believe that. It was someone who was watching over him…and he died. If I could see him again I would ask him, “Who did this to you?” -Katherine Jackson Michael suffered physical pain like many of us do and when it was necessary to function, probably sought pain relief. But I don’t personally believe he was anymore an ‘addict‘ to ‘painkillers‘ when he died than I am an addict to Ibuprofin that I take for headaches or muscle aches.

A friend of mine says: “It’s time they started treating Michael’s death like a murder, instead of just another celebrity drug overdose“. I agree with her.

In a previous piece here co-written by the friend (Nikki) who made this statement, it is explained why and how the “Michael Jackson was an addict” and “this is just another celebrity drug overdose” meme the media is pushing doesn’t quite wash.

The drugs that contributed to Michael’s death were benzodiazepines (Valium, Versed, and Avitan) and the sedative/hypnotic propofol. Benzodiazepines are for insomnia and anxiety. They are not painkillers. Michael was not addicted to painkillers and did not “die from an overdose of painkillers“, like the media seems to have a penchant for repeating over and over and over again. Propofol is also not a painkiller and I am quite frankly sick of the media calling it that.

Michael died because a negligent doctor (who I am convinced knew exactly what he was doing) gave him a lethal combination of drugs, (none of them “painkillers“) topped off with a large amount of propofol (which is sedative hypnotic agent used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia in the surgical suite, not a painkiller). Michael’s levels of propofol were consistent with that of someone who was completely sedated for major surgery and Dr. Calmes made this statement in the autopsy report.

The cause of death was not “overdose with painkillers“. The cause of death was “acute propofol intoxication” – “administered by another“, according to the coroner’s report.

How the sam hell anyone gets that Michael Jackson died “from an overdose of painkillers” from all this is beyond me, but that is what I hear time and time again even now, almost a year after Michael’s death, from the medialoids. Michael was murdered in my opinion, and I am personally unconvinced that murder was not intentional. Here’s a bit of the reason why:

My friend Nikki has researched cases where people have died from propofol and her conclusion thus far is:

When one looks at previous cases where propofol ultimately caused the death of someone in a residence, though they are few and far between, all were either ruled accidental or pre-meditated murder. It was already ruled that Michael did not inject himself–that drops the chance of this being accidental and leaves pre-meditated murder as the only other option. Now, if you want to read about a real drug addict and how drug addicts behave, have a gander at this or take a look at Ozzy Osbourne who is an addict and who even himself stated in regards to Michael’s death:

If you or me had given him that medication, we’d be up for murder. So why isn’t the doctor? That stuff they use only anesthetists should use. Doctors get away with anything. It’s like a club. -Ozzy Osbourne From the previous piece on this issue:

Propofol is not structurally or pharmacologically related in any way to other common anesthetics such as opioids (narcotic pain killers), barbiturates (such as phenobarbital) or benzodiazepines. Propofol has no attraction to receptors that the above drugs commonly interact within the brain–meaning that potential for abuse and/or addiction should be limited. It is actually chemically similar to vitamin E and aspirin.

Information from Table 3A in the autopsy report shows that Jackson did not appear to be a compliant patient–he rarely finished or took his medications as prescribed, including antibiotics which should be finished in most situations. He underutilized almost every medication he had in his possession. For those medication bottles found empty, based on the date the medications were filled at the pharmacy, it is appropriate to have found them completely used. The amount of benzodiazepines remaining and the length of time since being filled/written do not correlate with an addiction. However, Murray’s benzodiazepine-prescribing was more encouraging of establishing a tolerance in his patient (with no apparent tolerance) rather than trying to prevent one from occurring.Conrad Murray’s defense and the media are having a field day spouting misinformation to the public about all of this. They are pumping the lie that Michael was just “another washed-up drug addict who killed himself with drugs“. It’s great for Murray’s defense, but it is scientifically and patently untrue. The evidence is right there in the autopsy report and even in Michael’s own handwriting, above, as well as brief comment from Aphrodite Jones and the evidence found in Michael’s home after his death.

Michael’s death was not just “another celebrity drug overdose“. It is clearly a case of murder and it is about time it was treated like one. John M. Curtis at the Examiner certainly is another who agrees with that assessment as well. Curtis states that Conrad Murray has gotten away with murder and indeed he has, as was evident by the pretentious little show put on for us on June 14th in the courtroom and the fact that Michael’s murderer is still fully licensed to continue his ‘practice‘.

My friend Nikki had one nit to point out though, about Mr. Curtis’s article and his assertion that Murray used a drip to administer the propofol to Michael. Nikki explains why that could not have been possible and how the administration of the gargantuan amount of propofol to Michael had to be repeated manually via bolus injections. This fact adds even more credence to the likelihood Murray’s actions had to be intentional (ie: voluntary manslaughter aka murder) Nikki says:

I agree that this is murder. However, Murray did not set up a drip. There was no mechanical pump available. He likely was unable to set up a gravity system as well considering propofol comes in a glass bottle and need special tubing to flow. That being said, he was having to administer boluses of the drug, confirmed with the syringes that lie on the floor. Murray may not be an anesthesiologist but that does not mean he would be a fool to medications like propofol, Ativan, Versed and Valium. Murray likely used the latter three drugs for sedation to do cardiac catherizations on a regular basis and may have even used propofol before for cardioversions. Many times critically ill patients, including cardiac, are placed on propofol to keep them from fighting the ventilator. Murray is no lay person–he has been an M.D. about 22 years–he knew exactly what he was doing the morning of June 25th. He wasn’t dumb to the risks that he failed to plan for, either.

See the comments below where details are given about the rather odd insurance policy AEG took out on Michael and the shows. This policy apparently ONLY covered “accidental drug overdose“. It did not cover injury or death of natural causes. In order for that policy to pay out, Michael has to be (they NEED him to be) defined as an ‘addict‘, and his death defined as an ‘accident‘.

Here is a video where Phillips himself admits that the insurance will only pay if it’s an “accidental overdose“, which is why it’s being defined that way – besides that it helps Murray’s defense tremendously, as well.

Unfortunately, it appears those ‘in power‘ have already been bought and sold and will not do any justice in this case. We’ve witnessed their recent dog & pony show in the courtroom on June 14th – that pretentious ruse they set up to make a good show of caring about justice, whilst in action, they have no intention whatsoever of appropriately investigating, charging, or punishing Michael’s murder(s). They intend to let them all off scot-free, while Conrad Murray’s defense, along with the help of the lame$tream media, misleads the public once again and as always, about Michael Jackson.

In 2006, Jordan Chandler accused his father, Evan Chandler, of attacking him with a dumbbell, spraying him with mace and choking him.

According to court documents filed in New Jersey, Jordan claimed that in 2005, Evan “struck him on the head from behind with a 12-1/2-pound [dumbbell] weight … sprayed his eyes with Mace or pepper spray and tried to choke him”. Jordan also filed for a court restraining order against his father, on the grounds of ‘domestic abuse’.

In 1993, Evan Chandler had been hellbent in obtaining justice for the trauma his son had allegedly suffered at the hands of Michael. Why then, 12 years later, did he turn on his own son?

Settlement Not Enough

USA Today June 24, 1996

by DeWayne Wickham

Father, who accused singer of molesting son and is now suing again, ought to get a life. Los Angeles- Remember Evan Chandler? He's the Beverly Hills dentist who several years ago accused pop music superstar Michael Jackson of sexually molesting his then 13-year-old son.

Instead of trying to put Jackson in jail, Chandler sought to pick his pocket. The civil suit he filed in 1993 was settled out of court, reportedly for more than $10 million.

Now Chandler is hoping for another visit from the tooth fairy. The former dentist to the stars is back in court. And this time he's not just suing Jackson. Chandler also has named the pop music star's ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, the Sony Music Corp., the Walt Disney Co. and some 300 unnamed persons as co-conspirators.

Aided and abetted by this cast of characters, Jackson violated the terms of their confidential 1994 agreement, Chandler says. How?

By denying - in words and song - that he sexually abused the young boy. He did so last year during an interview on ABC with Diane Sawyer, Chandler charges, and again in his latest album. And for that Jackson must pay. How much?

Chandler, who between root canals co-wrote the screenplay for the movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights, wants at least $60 million to settle his latest complaint against the pop music king. He also wants an album.

Not a copy of HIStory, the Jackson album he cites in his suit. Chandler wants a court order "to allow him to publish and cause to be distributed to the public for sale" his own musical composition - something he calls "EVANstory." And, yes, he wants to be taken seriously. Hmmmm.

But, of course, he blew his chance for that when he chose to press his child-abuse charge in a civil, rather than criminal, court. How many parents who really believe some guy was molesting their child would pass up the chance to put him in jail?

Who would seek a financial payoff in lieu of a criminal prosecution? If Michael Jackson is a child molester, he belongs in jail. And if Evan Chandler has any evidence to support the charge that Jackson "sexually molested and assaulted" his son, he should give it to a prosecutor - not try to use it to launch his own recording career.

When Chandler and Jackson reached their out-of-court settlement, lawsuit lawyers for both men announced the deal in a joint, one-page statement. Twice in that document Jackson asserted his innocence.

Now, two years later, Chandler claims such a denial is a violation of the agreement. Some of these denials, Chandler contends, are buried in the lyrics of several of the songs on Jackson's HIStory album. What is he talking about? Well, in one song Jackson sings: "Somebody's out, somebody's out to use me, they really wanna use me, they falsely accused me."

Chandler believes these words are targeted at him. Maybe. Maybe not. In recent years Jackson has been dragged into civil court by a Denver songwriter who accused him of stealing his lyrics and a woman who said he fathered her child.

Maybe he was talking about them. Or maybe - like most songwriters - he wasn't talking about anyone in particular. And remember the recent controversy over Jackson's use of terms like "Jew me, sue me" and "kike me, don't you black and white me" in a song on the HIStory album?

Well, Chandler, who is Jewish, suggests in his lawsuit that they were aimed directly at him. Now he wants a chance to fire back with his own repertoire of songs. Evan, get a life. The statute of limitations for your child-abuse charge expires in three years.

Evan Chandler Confessed To Drugging Michael

http://allforloveblog.com/?p=2928

Up to now, there has always been one detail about the Chandler case that has bugged me. Having researched so many facts on this case, I have come away convinced 100% that Michael was innocent of the charge that Evan Chandler- himself a mentally unstable man suffering bouts of bipolar disorder- brought against him. But despite all that, it’s hard to get past the description Evan gave of walking into Jordie’s room to find Michael and Jordie cuddled in a spooning position on the bed-a position in which it “appeared” (so the report went) that Michael was fondling the boy’s crotch. Even Aphrodite Jones’s excellent True Crime episode on the Michael Jackson case, which aired last April, glossed over this episode without really elaborating on it or offering any kind of explanation.

That bothered me for a couple of reasons. Number one, haters and doubters, even when watching a positive show that argues Michael’s innocence, will look for any loophole that “proves” his guilt or that still leaves it open to question. For many, even the fact of a grown man sharing the same space in bed with a minor child is enough to condemn him guilty. Secondly, it raised a small, but significant seed of doubt in my own mind, even though by now I’ve learned to take most things said about Michael Jackson by his detractors with a heaping grain of salt. Some questions that remained unanswered for me: If this incident supposedly occurred at Evan’s own house, under his own roof, why was it allowed in the first place? And why did Evan even invite Michael over to his home in the first place? Was the whole thing a setup? And did he, in fact, really catch Michael and his son in such a compromising position, or was the entire thing an innocent incident blown out of proportion? These were the things I had wondered, but had no satisfactory answer-until it came in a most surprising way.

Namely, Chandler himself, who in attempting to “prove” his case, actually succeeded in incriminating himself further by confessing what he did that night. And where is this information to be had? You might be surprised, especially if you’re among those, like I was, who had not yet bothered reading Ray Chandler’s All That Glitters, the book that Evan got his attorney brother to write so that he could conveniently sidestep the terms of the settlement.

To be honest, I hadn’t avoided the book on purpose. I actually try to read everything out there that’s been written on Michael-both good and bad; positive and negative-because otherwise, it’s impossible to really get a balanced perspective of what has been written and presented to the public, plus one cannot be truly armed against the ignorance and lies being purported unless one educates themselves to a certain extent about that information. But I have to confess, All That Glitters has been at the bottom feeder level of my priorities. But sometimes, as Dave Edwards pointed out to me recently, it pays to be aware of the trash. You can learn some interesting things-if you know where to look. Especially, if you look between the lines.

To really understand how things got to that point, however, I suggest that if you missed it the first time, to go back and read the article I wrote in April on Evan Chandler called “Was Daddy Just Jealous Cause Daddy Couldn’t Play?”.

http://allforloveblog.com/?p=1998

In that article, I went into some depth of what I believed to be the seed of the evil in this case, and that was Evan’s own jealousy of the relationship Michael had formed with his son-and also, his ex-wife, June, which I don’t think should be underestimated. I’ve long suspected that Michael was having a fling with June Chandler, which has been corroborated by at least two sources, a Neverland employee, and Frank Cascia, a longtime associate of Michael’s. Even in the Mary A. Fischer GQ article, a friend of June Chandler is quoted as saying she “liked him enormously.” I don’t think it was a serious romance, but it was serious enough to lay the groundwork for what became a very messy triangle of jealous relationships and suspicions among the Chandler family. You had Jordie who was jealous of Michael’s relationship with Mommy, and Evan who was jealous of Jordie’s father/son relationship with Michael, and then thrown into the mix, probably no doubt feeling a bit cuckolded and emasculated by June’s relationship with Michael, for even though they were divorced, there was probably on Evan’s part some lingering feelings that Michael was taking from him his entire family-his wife AND son.

Michael And Jordan At The World Music Awards in May of '93. This Was Around The Same Time That The Alleged "Drugging" Incident Took Place

For awhile, Evan played along, thinking that he could be in on the party and could benefit, as well. It was only after it became obvious that Michael had no intention of letting him play that Evan began exhibiting his jealous rages and determination to bring Michael Jackson down, at all costs. That is, after he was refused $20,000,000 to fund his film projects and the privilege of building his own, personal guest house on Neverland property, among various other bright ideas he had that he was constantly badgering Michael with. Michael smelled a rat, and began to distance himself from Chandler, as well as refusing most of his “offers” and business propositions.

This excerpt from the Mary A. Fischer article is interesting for the light it sheds on Chandler’s state of mind after he realized that Michael was distancing himself from the relationship:

“I had a good communication with Michael,” Chandler told Schwartz. “We were friends. I liked him and I respected him and everything else for what he is. There was no reason why he had to stop calling me. I sat in the room one day and talked to Michael and told him exactly what I want out of this whole relationship. What I want.” (my emphasis).

I don’t know about you all, but generally, when someone starts dictating to me what they “want” out of a relationship with me, that’s when I’m out of there!

Awhile back, the website Vindicating Michael ran an interesting piece on the mental state of Evan Chandler. I do think it’s an important detail that should not be overlooked-that perhaps Evan Chandler was not so much an evil man, as a mentally disturbed one who was perhaps not entirely responsible for his actions. And who also had every reason to believe-even if in his own mind-that his allegations were justified.

http://vindicatemj.wordpress.com/2010/05/07/evan-chandler-was-a-psychiatric-case/

But some things that Evan Chandler did knowingly cannot be so easily excused. We know that Chandler drugged his own son with the drug amytal sodium to extract a ‘confession” from him, a drug that has been known to produce false memory. But it gets dirtier and more “interesting” than that.

In All That Glitters, Evan Chandler admitted to his brother Ray how he invited Michael to his house, drugged him, and basically set up the whole scenario that took place in Jordie’s bedroom! Unfortunately at the time, I guess Michael still hadn’t quite caught whiff of the rat smell; otherwise, he probably would have never accepted the invitation. But for a brief while, the two men did become somewhat friends, even though this was at the point that Evan was beginning to have his suspicions and was feeling somewhat at outs over not being a central figure in his family’s life anymore.

So here’s how the whole thing allegedly went down. Although Evan did not have custody of his son, June had felt sorry for him and allowed Jordie to go back to him for an extended stay. Evan then invited Michael over (under what pretense I don’t know, but Michael accepted the invitation). Sometime during the course of the visit, Michael developed an excruciating headache. Instead of offering him a Tylenol, Evan conveniently decides he has a better remedy. He calls up his friend Dr. Torbiner, a shady anesthethiologist, to come over and provide relief. Torbiner, as it would turn out, would become a crucial figure in this case, since it was he who provided Jordan with the “memory serum” amytal sodium that would help coerce his “confession.” Mary Fischer’s article also provides some interesting background info on Torbiner’s checkered history.

And in light of what we know now, one also has to wonder if maybe the dependency Michael developed for anesthetic drugs as sleep aids and pain combatants might not have had its roots in this very evil, underhanded incident. At least to my knowledge, there is no known record of Michael using such a drug outside a hospital setting prior to this incident.

Amytal Sodium Can Be Admisntered Orally In Pill Form...

...Or Injected.

It has been rumored as to whether the drug Torbiner adminsitered to Michael that evening was, in fact, amytal sodium. What is known, however, is that: One, this was a very dangerous substance to be administered outside of a hospital, and especially for a headache; two, after being given the drug, Michael became woozy and drowsy (to the point of being completely inebriated); three, it was while under the influence of this drug that Evan Chandler asked Michael if he was gay and also, if he had been “f-cking” his son.

Now, are you seeing the picture here? This is where it starts to get really interesting. First of all, Evan Chandler always made a big deal out of Michael’s reaction to that question, that instead of being outraged by the accusation, Michael simply giggled and said it was ridiculous. Well, hellooo…if you put two and tow together, the man was drugged out of his skull when he was being plied with these questions, so obviouisly, he didn’t have all his faculties about him, nor was he in control of his responses. Laughing in response to stumuli-even inappropriate sitmuli- is a common side effect of most milder anasthetic drugs. The “giggles” that often accompany being stoned on pot is a classic case example of how drugs can alter the ability to react appropriately to stimuli. Anyone who’s ever been stoned on marijuana and had “the giggles” can vouch for that fact.

But what’s more important than how he reacted is what was actually said. Even under the influence and drugged to the point that he was rendered unable to walk and had to be carried to bed that night, Michael staunchly denied two things-being gay, and having ever touched Jordan in an inapproriate manner. Evan Chandler had no luck coercing a “confession” from him (though unfortunately, such would not be the case when he later tried the same tactic on his son-his own son!).

Something else that is interesting and revealing about this setup: Even though this was before the incident in which Evan alledgedly caught Michael and Jordie in a compromising position, it’s clear that he already had his suspicions firmly in place; otherwise, why all the questions? Was he not then mentally in a place to make what he wanted of what he “thought” he saw?

Here is what is also known about what happened on the night in question: After being rendered unconscious by the drug Chandler and Torbiner had administered, Michael was “put to bed”-conveniently, in Jordan Chandler’s room!

Evan Chandler Convinced Michael He Was Giving Him A Drug That Would Cure His Migraine...I'm Sure It Did!

Now here’s the biggest question of all. Why in heck would a man who ALREADY suspected an improper relationship between a man and his son then purposely put that man to bed in the room he KNEW he would be sharing with his son? That makes no sense whatsoever. And it certainly doesn’t bode well for Chandler’s supposed “concern” over his son being molested. If that were the case, why would he purposely and intentionally set his own son up by putting him in such a compromising situation? Why would he agree to let Jordan sleep in his own bed that night, knowing this was the bed where they had placed Michael? Why would he consent to allowing them to sleep together, even if albeit Micahel was out of it? You can’t tell me for a moment that there were no other alternatives, or no other places where the child could have slept that night. If Evan was such a concerned father for his son’s safety, why didn’t he insist on Jordan sleeping with him that night? Clearly, because he had a plan in place, and that plan was to entrap Michael and his son, and to create a setup whereby Michael would look guilty as hell.

It was only then that Evan claims he walked into Jordan’s bedroom to find them “cuddled” on the bed in a spooning position. But still, consider the circumstances: Michael was in a drugged state, and certainly to some extent (actually, a very large extent) not responsible for his actions. Given the circumstances, how do we know he was even fully and conscuiously aware that it was Jordan sleeping next to him, or for that matter, that he was in Jordan’s bed? We don’t.

And I’m surprised that more people through the years-those who have bought Evan’s story that he was soooo concerned for his son-have never once questioned why or how this alleged incident took place under Evan Chandler’s very own roof. This didn’t happen at Neverland, where Michael had some degree of control over who was and was not allowed into his bedroom. This occurred under the roof of the alleged victim’s own father, who not only knowingly and willfully allowed it, but even set it up! And even when this information was put out there-openly-by Ray Chandler in his book, it’s amazing how people glossed right over it.

Then again, it doesn’t surprise. The public and the media have been so quick to condemn Michael Jackson on these allegations that they have refused to look at the bald facts even when they are right under their noses.

Now, as to more evidence of just what a “concerned” father Evan Chandler was, here is an article that appeared in USA Today back in ’96 in which a writer took Chandler to task over his ridiculous extortion attempts, all of this after Chandler became convinced that Michael had violated the terms of the settlement by proclaiming his innocence in a TV interview and on his HIStory album (as if Chandler himself didn’t violate those terms with his brother’s book, All That Glitters). It’s interesting to see, at least in this case, a media article willing to step up to the plate in Michael’s corner-if only more had been willing to do so, more often!

http://site2.mjeol.com/1993-1994/settlement-not-enough-june-24-1996.html

And here’s a legal document proving that Evan Chandler later attempted to murder his son (the fight allegedly erupted over, of all things, a loaf of bread!):

There Was Something About Michael Jackson•••He Was Perfection

The number 7 or 777 was Michael Jackson’s favorite number. “777″ represents God’s organization on earth. In the scriptures “7″ indicates perfection. “3″ gives emphasis. Therefore, 777 would be perfection. He described his Mother as •”perfection”.

Concidentally (or not!) Seven is also MY favorite / lucky number and always has been, thus, my Nickname and Pseudonym “Seven”, which I’ve used for years for writing poetry, some of which you will find here, specifically dedicated to Michael – the Angel of My Life – and easily the most beautiful, wise, loving man who has ever existed on Earth.

Also included will be photos I’ve collected, quotes from Michael and about Michael, videos, and other material. I started this site to honor and protect the legacy of this magnificent man, and to collect my poems and thoughts about him, as well as poems, thoughts, information, and quotes from others.

More detail about ‘7•7•7′:

•The number 7, in the Bible, is the number of perfection and/or completion.

•In triple notation, three sevens would indicate control of all three divisions of mind: conscious, subconscious, and superconscious. Michael wrote love notes to his fans mentioning these things, one of which you will eventually find posted here so that you can see for yourself. Three represents purpose or creativity, and Michael Jackson certainly had that! The numbers add up to 3. Add 777=21, add 2+1= 3. Another way to relate to 3 is the trinity: father, son, and holy ghost or holy spirit. The spirit manifests in each division of mind according to its own function. 777 therefore, is likely also a symbol not only of perfection, but wholeness.

I Love You, Michael Jackson. Always and All Ways. You and I were never separate. It’s just an illusion. Wrought by the magical lens of perception….Heaven is Here.

Seven

TINI (This Is Not It) for JUSTICE

We, at TINI, started our Campaign in order to inform the public of certain circumstances regarding the last days of Michael Jackson's life. Through our testimonies, we tried to present OUR truth, as we have personally witnessed, and in the process, we even left ourselves vulnerable to attacks from the public.

It's unbelievable that after 9 months since Michael’s life was suddenly cut short, those responsible for this criminal act have not yet been punished as they deserve:

Firstly, Conrad Robert Murray, the so-called Doctor, who, instead of helping Michael, took advantage of Michael’s situation and took money for administering inappropriate medications that culminated in his injecting Michael with a lethal dose of powerful anesthetic that definitely killed him. We believe that Murray should be appropriately charged with 2nd degree murder at the very least.

Secondly, all the people who, through omission or commission for their own profit or otherwise, neglected, condoned and facilitated dangerous, reckless or illegal conduct that ultimately led to the death of Michael Jackson, or who have any knowledge of this murder but choose to unlawfully keep their silence. We believe that timely and thorough investigations must be done to bring about appropriate charges.

We, at TINI, refuse to be a part of this silenced truth: that's why we have decided to come out once again to start a new awareness campaign called “TINI for JUSTICE.”

Michael Jackson fans are a rare breed!!

“Michael Jackson fans are a strange breed. One would be hard pressed to find another fan community whose object of admiration is the subject of so much unnecessary condemnation. Over time, Michael Jackson enthusiasts have watched their beloved’s seemingly global idolization transform into apparent worldwide mischaracterization and mistreatment by the press and public alike. Yet, through it all, true Michael Jackson fans have abandoned him not. If anything, the harder Michael’s opponents try to shove him to the depths of despair, the harder his devotees love him, if only for summoning the courage to persist in the midst of it all.

Michael’s continued endurance is an exercise in strength and resilience in the face of adversity and uncertainty. Michael’s fans have learned well the lesson, as they steadfastly brave the almost daily emotional roller coaster ride that is a requisite experience of every Jackson supporter. They marvel at his seemingly inexhaustible talents and applaud his victories. They laugh with him in his happiness; weep with him in his sorrow and pray for him in troubled times. Their hearts are warmed when he is embraced, and bleed when he is ill-treated.

Despite the stratospheric highs and seemingly cavernous lows that come with being a Michael Jackson fan, they remain loyal. They, like Michael, refuse to allow naysayers to steal their joy, obstruct their way or shape their opinions. They, like Michael, refuse to have their destiny defined or dictated by another. They also refuse to stand idly by as others attempt to deny Michael his rightfully earned legacy.

Simply, Michael Jackson’s fans are just like Mike in that they will not be deterred. By nature of their calling, Michael’s fans are constantly summoned to put on the full armor, stand on the front lines and fight.

Oftentimes with their pen as their sword, they fight alongside and for Michael’s right of humanity. By so doing, they fight for tolerance over prejudice, unconditional love over criticism; wisdom over ignorance and justice over inequality – not only for Michael, but for themselves as well. The battles are never-ending, hard-fought and oftentimes mentally and physically exhausting.

Still, rather than surrender or reconcile, Michael’s fans resist. They resist the desire to abandon Michael when all seems lost. They forsake the notion that theirs is a lost cause. They refuse to throw in the towel and resign themselves to the path of least resistance, which so often involves renouncing their fan support of Michael.

When the going gets tough, with weary minds and heavy hearts, they press on. They press on through Michael’s tribulations and the attacks to which he is subjected. They press on in spite of tire. They press on despite mockery and question as to why they bother fight at all for Michael Jackson, a man some deem undeserving of their adoration. Hazrat Inayat Khan once said, “God breaks the heart again and again until it stays open”. Michael’s devotees can see him as living proof of this idea, as he seems to be the embodiment of the notion. His own heart has been broken much and his fans personally feel the sting of each break. By the grace of God, Michael’s heart does not become hardened as a result of its frequent fractures. To the contrary, his shattered heart allows for its tenderness and openness. Since out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, Michael’s fans are able to truly see the fullness of his heart when they listen to him articulate his desire for acceptance, understanding, positivity, love and peace through song and speech.

As their efforts to break Jackson himself have continually proven unsuccessful, some Michael Jackson opponents have turned their focus to attempting to disband the fan community by attacking his defenders. Time after time, the press uses condescending, defamatory terms to describe Michael’s fans. Being referred to as “delusional” and “*****” is not foreign to Jackson’s supporters. However, Michael’s devotees choose to ignore the juvenile name-calling and taglines bestowed on them by the media. The fans refuse to allow the press to project its negative, inaccurate perception onto them. This is because Michael Jackson fans realize that such inflammatory terms do not depict their true nature as intelligent, grounded individuals with a healthy admiration for Michael’s music, vision and humanitarianism among other things. Interestingly enough, Michael Jackson’s influence is global and thus, so is his fan base.

His detractors are under the false impression that his fan base is minuscule as well as one-dimensional. To the contrary, Michael Jackson enthusiasts are nothing if not vast and multi-dimensional. They can be found on every continent, in every country worldwide. Michael’s fans transcend racial, age and socioeconomic boundaries. The fact that Michael’s fans are so diverse adds to their beauty. Few entertainers, if any, can lay claim to having the type of dynamic and varied fan base of which Michael Jackson can boast.

If it is true our lives are open books for others to read, then the fans’ study of Michael Jackson has taught them more than they ever could have imagined they would learn about life, love and survival. Michael Jackson is a living testament of the notion that whatever one dreams and desires for his or her life can be achieved. Michael lives by the mantra that love should have no limitations -no conditions. Michael has shown all who dare take notice that it is possible to not only stay alive, but to thrive, with grace and fortitude despite adversity. By merely existing, Michael Jackson has taught his fans what it is to dream without fear, to create without boundaries, to listen without prejudice and to love without judgment.

Simply, Michael Jackson’s fans are a hard act to outshine. Their loyalty, enthusiasm, intelligence and genuine adoration of their musical idol is unparalleled by other artists’ fan communities. However, for all their attributes, when it comes to one particular matter, Michael Jackson’s admiring fans, will always be bested. For try as they might, no matter to what infinite degree they say and believe they love Michael Jackson, the King of Pop in true regal fashion, will always say and prove he loves them more … “
